「選択できない」のよく使う表現として

などありますが、今日のテーマとどう違うのでしょうか？

職業は居酒屋してますが、趣味でジャズを歌ってます。
歌をしてることを知ってるお客さんは必ず、
「何か歌って！」っていう。
だが、歌うと、聞いてない人が多い。

But I don’t get to choose; I just have to sing whenever people ask me to.
